Continuing from where I left...
So, if any kind of scene in the story is clear and see-through then the best way is to change it a little so that the thing does not look so boring and that it may not distract the reader's attention. Most of the time it is best if you use a rather engaging plot, and a rather different one so that readers are not able to guess what it's all about. Because the key to a successful piece of writing is that the reader doesn't get to what you are about to say because then they will lose attention.
Try to put in a few more details if you think that the reader will see-through the whole set-up. Think of it as a movie studio and you don't want your audience to get the whiff of what's going to happen.
So, if the guy/girl is falling as in the first part of this blog post, then you could spice up things by introducing any new character or changing the nature of your characters i.e. making a good guy turn out to be a bad guy and vice versa.
The technique is that your story is rather foggy and make the reader want to go through the fog to see what's at the other end. I mean, even a small kid can see through a plot that's crystal clear.
So try it out for yourself. Mash up a few things and see what you come up with.
Happy Writing!
